"Miss" tiene dos significados distintos, quiere decir tanto "extrañar " como "faltar" y es uno de los verbos que más se usan del inglés. Por ejemplo, si decimos, "There is a pencil missing" quiere decir que "falta un lápiz", también si decimos "I never miss the train" significa "nunca pierdo el tren" (o nunca "falto" al tren). Por su parte, si decimos "I miss you" se traduce como "te extraño".
